If you still love your old tattoo and don't want to cover it up, reworking it can be a great option. There are several things to keep in mind when deciding to have a tattoo reworked:
The tattoo must be completely healed before any touch up or reworking can be done.
Artists will typically have different styles or ideas and this can result in tattoos looking different after being reworked.
If the artist feels the tattoo can not be properly fixed, they may suggest a cover-up.
Reworking a tattoo is similar to doing a cover up in many ways; a lot of the design elements and techniques used will be particular to the individual tattoo.
TOUCHING UP A TATTOO
The tattoo must be completely healed before any touch up can be done.
Artists at Lucky You will fix any issues your tattoo had healing to the best of our ability during the first two months after the tattoo was finished.
After the tattoo has finished healing, if you feel your tattoo is in need of a touch up either call the shop or email your artist directly.
Some situations may void our touch up policy, such as neglecting our instructions for aftercare, or failing to inform your artist of health issues that can affect the healing of your tattoo.
